My story starts out with the meeting
of two wonderful people-my parents. My mother, Rita Helena Koenigsknecht
was born on August 10th, 1922, in Fowler, Michigan. She was the 9th of 12
children born to Mary Pung Koenigsknecht and John Koenigsknecht. She grew
up to meet and marry my father, Leo Francis Egan. He was born on December
10th, 1920, in Grand Ledge, Michigan to Josephine Kinney Egan and Kearn
Egan. He was the 5th of 7 children in his family. My parents married on
October 20 1951 and first lived on Lapeer St. in Lansing. My brother
Dennis was born in 1952, and I came along soon after, April 14th, 1954. We
were later joined by my brother's Tommy and Ronald (the youngest) and my
